A granddaughter’s memories of her cool grandfathers

This conversation is the first episode that I have recorded with a granddaughter, and I was blown away with what I learned about Dee’s grandfathers. Dee shares with us how her cool grandpa’s influenced her from a young girl to a young woman. Dee discusses helping with farm work and how she was expected to work like ‘one of the boys.’ Dee also goes into detail about how doing farm work and learning to drive the tractor gave her confidence that followed her through school as well as developed a love for exercising with weights.

Dee really gets personal when she shares stories about how her grandfathers showed her how much they loved their God and their wives. Dee explains how important it is for grandpas to be consistent with their relationships because granddaughters are viewing the actions and consistency for how they expect the men in their lives to treat them as they develop their own relationships with men and with their God.
