EP – 131 Grandpas United

Our conversation with Jim Isenberg and Frank Williams

The Cool Grandpa Podcast

Frank Williams and Jim Isenberg are on a mission to get grandpas active at home and especially in their communities. Grandpas United was founded in 2018 to provide multigenerational mentors and leadership to youth in their community.

You will enjoy learning how Frank, Jim, and other men of ‘grandpa age’ came together to identify a need in the community. I am not just talking about the youth of the community but also the community of older men. Men with vast experience in personal, professional, and civic life. Men who have ‘been there and done that’ and are now looking to engage to be part of lifting the rising generation.

It is easy for us all to sit back and complain about the state of affairs and bemoan how one generation or another is ‘doing it wrong’ or creating challenges for our generation or parts of society. It takes a special group of men to identify a challenge, create a vision of how it can be addressed, and then cast a vision that draws others to it. Well, the grandpas at Grandpas United are such individuals working to improve their communities and the wonderful people that live it.

This is an important and fun conversation. I hope you share it with your other family and friends after you have listened to this show. If you are interested in joining or starting a chapter of Grandpas United, I encourage you to reach you to this group and get in the game. We need grandpas out in front being leaders in the home and the community.

Remember, your sharing this conversation is the best way to help me spread the word about the importance of grandfathers in the lives of their grandchildren and families.
