EP – 148 The Importance of Having a Senior Living Plan

Our conversation with Annalee Kruger

Working with your parents or loved ones on managing their aging process can be challenging. It makes you ask personal and possibly embarrassing questions about every part of someone’s life. These topics are often areas that “we” don’t talk about. These tough topics can include money, physical and mental well-being, estate planning, and many more.

Annalee Kruger is passionate about helping family and friends work through the emotions and the details of creating a senior living plan. What Annalee is working with families to avoid is the crisis that so often appears when an unexpected event occurs. That event often causes the family to rally together, and oftentimes, having to choose the least bad of multiple bad options causes even more emotional AND financial pain for the family.

To help families create a plan, Annalee has developed many tools that will empower families to calmly face any situation. One such tool is the ‘Grab and Go Binder.’ The ‘Grab and Go Binder’ is a fantastic tool to place all important documents such as a Living Will, caregiving Instructions, Financial information, and so much more so the family members who need to make quick decisions on care, level of care, etc. have the documents and information they need to direct any health care and social work providers.

Annalee provides us with great information and suggestions on developing an aging plan to support all parties involved in creating and carrying out a senior living plan. Once you have listened to this episode, please share it with friends who would benefit from our conversation.
